Through virtual education, regional roundtables, and our province-wide grief symposium, the Nova Scotia Grief Alliance brings people together to share knowledge, experiences, and support.
Online educational offerings are brought to you by the Nova Scotia Grief Alliance, a collaborative partnership between the the Nova Scotia Hospice Palliative Care Association and Nova Scotia Health. Together, we are committed to advancing grief literacy, strengthening community connections, and fostering compassionate, accessible grief and bereavement support across Nova Scotia.
The Province-wide Grief Symposium gathers grief researchers, health professionals, and community organizations to explore the latest in grief care and support.

Title: Working with Iranian Immigrant Women: Understanding Perfectionism and the Immigration Experience

Description: Iranian immigrant women often navigate a unique intersection of cultural expectations, perfectionism, trauma, and immigration-related experiences that can significantly influence their mental health, confidence, relationships, workplace functioning, and help-seeking behaviours. While these experiences are not always immediately visible, understanding them and where grief plays a role can help professionals provide more culturally responsive and effective support.

Geographic Regions
The NS Grief Alliance often refers to four regional areas to support event planning: Central, Northern, Western and Eastern. These regional areas align with Nova Scotia Health's health service planning ‘zones’ and is a guide only to assist participants in attending in-person events. Please see below.
